YAWA!: President Mahama Snubs Omane Boamah As He Asks For Handshake

During the Regular Career Course 63 officers’ graduation ceremony at the Ghana Military Academy in Teshie, President John Dramani Mahama was the center of attention. The audience erupted in shouts when the president appeared in a ceremonial full navy outfit.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Ghanaian Armed Forces, Mahama, exited his car and strode to the front of the parade grounds.

For a different reason, though, a brief moment during his arrival went viral. During Mahama’s approach to the platform, Defense Minister Edward Omane Boamah seemed to extend his hand for a handshake. The president did not react, perhaps because he was unaware of it.

The minister found himself in a precarious situation.

Uncertain of what to do next, he remained motionless for a time before carefully lowering and folding his hand by his side.

A social media video of the incident has generated amusing responses, with many people making jokes about it.
