“I Am 48 With No Child” — OAP Roby Ekpo Opens Up on Failed 11-Year Marriage
Nigerian media personality Roby Ekpo has spoken publicly about the collapse of his 11-year marriage to his estranged wife, Mayowa Lambe, alleging infidelity, deception, and financial strain.
Appearing on an unreleased episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Ekpo said he was devastated after discovering that his wife had remarried another man.
“After 11 years of marriage, I woke up to videos and pictures of my wife on Instagram getting married to another man,” he said.
The comedian and radio host also claimed that Lambe misled him throughout their marriage, including concealing her use of contraceptives.
“I am 48 years old, I don’t have a kid, I started going for tests because I thought I was the problem… I later found out that she was taking contraceptives,” he said.
Ekpo further alleged that she deceived him about undergoing medical procedures related to conception.
“Mayowa travelled to Miami to do BBL. She told me she went for surgery that would enable her to conceive,” he added.
He also described growing communication issues between them, saying even basic interactions became strained.
“If I send my wife a message on her Instagram DM, she would question me why I was sending a message there. She would say ‘they (immigration) check’,” he said.
Ekpo claimed he financially supported her throughout the marriage despite limited earnings.
“10 years of my life… with the little money I was earning, I was sending money to Mayowa every time. I was sending flowers,” he said.
He added that after years apart, attempts at reconciliation were unsuccessful.
“Since 2021, I have not seen Mayowa again… I sent her ticket money to come to Nigeria… I could not get a clip of hugging my wife. She did not kiss me,” he said.
He also alleged that she once shared dissatisfaction about their relationship and that he later discovered issues involving a male flatmate.
“She got a house and got a male flatmate… I later found out that the flatmate was sleeping with her,” he alleged.
Roby Ekpo and Mayowa Lambe reportedly married in November 2015 and kept their relationship largely private before reports emerged that she recently remarried in Texas, United States.
