“I Never Thought I Would Be Someone Who Would Have Fertility Issues” – Ini Edo
After years of failed efforts to conceive, renowned Nigerian actress Ini Edo has opened up about her struggles with infertility and her personal choice to use surrogacy.
In a recent segment of Season 3 of the reality TV show Young, Famous & African, the 42-year-old celebrity talked about her reproductive issues and how they affected her life.
Edo disclosed that she got married when she was 26 and intended to stop having children by the time she was 31.
However, her plans took a challenging turn as she faced persistent fertility issues during her marital life.
“My journey is one that I have not really been wanting to talk about because it is personal. I went through surrogacy. I never thought I would be someone who would have fertility issues,” she revealed.
“But I have had issues carrying pregnancies long-term. And it looked like it was not going to happen the way I wanted it to happen. So, this option [surrogacy] came and I took it.”
