Nobody has the right to touch someone else’s child, she stated, adding that parents are the only ones who should administer such discipline.

In an interview with Joy News, Yvonne clarified that instructors are not permitted to strike students at her school, Yvonne Nelson International School (YNIS).

The school has policies in place to shield kids from this kind of behavior, she added. She claims that time-outs and counseling are used at YNIS to manage punishment. As a last resort, the school gets in touch with parents in severe situations.

When there are alternative methods of correcting children, Yvonne said she finds it incomprehensible that certain schools feel free to beat kids. She went on to say that because physical punishment may have an impact on a kid, her school has decided to take a different approach.
