Oliver Barker-Vormawor To Offer 2,000 Cedis To Anyone Who Can Bring Him The Head Of Akufo Addo’s Destroyed Statue

Fix The country convener, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, in a recent tweet, has put a 2000 cedis bounty on the head of the destroyed former president Akufo Addo’s destroyed statue in the Eastern Region.
According to allegations circulated yesterday, unidentified individuals demolished the monument of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo that was placed at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital roundabout in the Western Region’s Sekondi-Takoradi city.
The monument of former President Akufo-Addo, which was unveiled on November 6 of last year, was restored after being attacked in December 2024 in the rear of the left leg, below the knee (the calf region).
Some chiefs constructed the bronze figure, complete with the costume that goes with it, to honor the President for the notable advancements in the area during his “Thank you tour” in November.
Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, the Western Regional Minister at the time, said that the monument was erected in recognition of President Akufo-Addo for a number of significant initiatives, including as the reconstruction of the Takoradi Market Circle and the three-tier Sino electric PTC interhange, but some citizens and Oliver Barker Vormawor feel it’s disrespectful for the former president to be honored.
However, the bounty still holds, so if you can’t get the head delivered to him, you should.
