I told the Police to detain my nephew after he was arrested for overtaking – Prophet Kofi Oduro (video)
Prophet Kofi Oduro shared a story about how his nephew ended up being detained by the police after following the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The incident unfolded when his nephew called him, explaining that the Adenta Police had arrested him for improper driving while coming from Dodowa.
“My nephew called to inform me that the Adenta Police had arrested him for wrongful overtaking.
I asked him, what did you do? He answered that he was coming from Dodowa, and they tried overtaking and had been arrested,” Prophet Oduro recounted.
Wanting to understand the situation, Prophet Oduro requested to speak with the officer handling the case.
Introducing himself, he said, “I told him, you are my uncle, Prophet Kofi Oduro, Alabaster Church.”
The officer explained that his nephew had been arrested in Adenta because he had been trailing the IGP’s convoy from Somanya.
Rather than asking the police to release his nephew, Prophet Oduro insisted that he face the consequences of his actions.
“I then added that he should be detained.
It was a Saturday, so he was detained for the weekend and taken to court on Monday,“ he said.
“When my nephew called on Monday that he was being taken to court, I told him I would pray for him,” Prophet Oduro told his congregation.
