‘Sarkodie’s ‘Happy Day’ Is Not A Political Song”-Kuami Eugene

Eugene Kwame Marfo, better known as Kuami Eugene, the Ghanaian current highlife artist, has disproved accusations made by music fans and certain political sympathizers that Sarkodie’s song “Happy Day” is a political song.

Kuami Eugene revealed in an interview with Zionfelix on the Uncut show that his major motivation for working with Sarkodie on that song was not to become engaged in politics.

The song was never officially associated with any political party in Ghana, according to Kuami Eugene. He claimed that political groups claiming ownership of the Grammy-winning song are doing so for their own purposes, not because the rapper wrote it just for them.

However, he stated that the composer, Sarkodie, would be the best person to say whether the song was a political song or not because, to his knowledge, he simply appeared on a song, not a political song.
