Speaking at a TikTok Live session that was recorded on April 15, 2026, Tagoe clarified that, despite conflicts in the music industry at the time, Shatta Wale and DJ Mensah were crucial in motivating him to invest in Stonebwoy.

He claims that the discussion happened during a meeting at Labone with Tinny, when he explained his plans and got unexpected support.

He said.

I met Tinny at Labone with Wale, and I told them what I wanted to do. That was when Shatta Wale told me that if I truly wanted to invest, I should go ahead and support Stonebwoy. I can confirm that it was Shatta Wale and DJ Mensah who made me open my heart and put my resources into Stone.
