Shatta Wale Gets Two MTV Africa Music Awards Nominations

Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale has been nominated for two trophies at this year’s MTV Africa Music Awards.

The self-acclaimed dancehall king is nominated for the Best Fan Base Awards and Best Collaboration.

He is up against Wizkid, Serge Beynaud, Nadia Mukami and Naira Marley for the Best-Fan Base Award.

Shatta Wale got into Best Collaboration thanks to Beyonce’s Already song, which also features Major Lazer. They will battle it out with Burna Boy’s ‘Monster We Made’ with Chris Martin, Master KG’s ‘Jerusalema’ remix with Burna boy and Nomcebo, Wizkid’s ‘Smile’ featuring H.E.R and Yemi Alade’s ‘Shekere’ featuring Angelique Kidjo.

He has taken to social media to solicits for votes from his fans across the continent to help him win the awards.
