Social media users accuse Shatta Wale of mocking Stonebwoy after BET snub
Social media users have accused Shatta Wale of mocking Stonebwoy moments after the latter missed out on the BET award for Best International Act (Africa award) in the US on Saturday.
After Stonebwoy lost the award to Nigeria’s Wizkid, Shatta Wale updated his Facebook status and wrote,” I sneeze mpo…”.
Fans of Stonebwoy interpreted the post to mean that Shatta Wale had mocked the Mightylele singer and instantly launched verbal attacks on the self-proclaimed African dancehall king.
The verbal fire at Shatta Wale from Stonebwoy fans veered from harsh criticism to unrestrained insults.
YEN.com.gh reported earlier that when Shatta Wale missed out on the BET nomination, he claimed his BECE certificate was more important that the nomination.
His claim prompted some Ghanaians to launch an online search for his BECE certificate.
Stonebwoy, meanwhile, has congratulated Wizkid for winning the coveted BET award.
In a Twitter update, the dancehall star said Wizkid’s award was well-deserved.
