“Asamoah Gyan Was The Team’s Light When We Used To Play” – Sulley Muntari

Even though Asamoah Gyan called his teammates cowards earlier this year while discussing his missed penalty for Ghana against Uruguay in the 2010 World Cup, former Black Stars player Sulley Muntari has stated that he and Gyan have no ill will.
In a recent interview with 3Sports, Sulley, a player for the 2010 World Cup squad, responded to Gyan’s remarks by denying the forward’s allegations and declaring his support for the player.
“Asamoah Gyan was the light of the team when we were playing. When we had pressure going into games, he used to sing and dance a lot, which made us forget about the pressure.
Maybe he is not happy with something; I don’t think there was any support.
I love Asamoah Gyan,” he told 3Sports.
