On matchday 27 of the Ghana Premier League, Accra Hearts of Oak goalie Benjamin Asare’s outstanding performance in the team’s hotly contested tie with Vision FC won him praise—and money—from appreciative supporters.

At the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown, the seasoned goalie, who was tasked with protecting the net in one of the round’s most anticipated matches, displayed poise, superior reflexes, and a commanding presence.

Despite his inability to add to his stellar clean sheet total, Asare’s impact between the posts was evident.

As a mark of gratitude, spectators, obviously touched by his efforts, approached the 32-year-old after the final whistle.

Visibly moved by the display of devotion, the Hearts caretaker graciously received the monetary gifts.
