Black Stars captain Andre Ayew responded to criticism of his brother’s performances at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022.
The 3-2 defeat to Portugal last Thursday drew criticism for Jordan Ayew’s brief cameo of 13 minutes. On the field, he mishandled the ball three times, and his contribution to Portugal’s third goal earned him criticism.
After Jordan played a key role in today’s 3-2 victory for Ghana over South Korea, however, his older brother has been praising him.
Six crosses were made by Jordan, who was making his first start of the competition, and one of them led to Mohammed Kudus’ second goal for Ghana.
Salisu Mohammed’s first goal was likewise the consequence of his set piece, and he contributed to the progression of Kudus’ second goal.
Ghanaian supporters applauded the Crystal Palace forward as he left the field at the Education City Stadium in Qatar.
Regarding his brother’s performance, Ayew said there was no questioning his brother’s abilities as a football player.

I believe that although they know in their hearts what sort of person he is, others just want to speak poorly of him.
