According to kelvyn Boy, it has been a long time he heard a real Dancehall song from any Ghanaian artiste.

Kelvyn Boy was answering a question on Joy Prime on why all new songs from artistes in Ghana currently have the same Beat Per Minute.

To him, currently, African musicians do one genre of music which is Afrobeat and that’s what every artiste in Africa need to admit.

He said most artistes are recording afrobeat songs and title them as dancehall and that will be the bane that will pull Ghana back in her quest to conquer the world.

He noted that now all artistes across Africa sound the same, an indication that they do the same genre which is afrobeat.
