Malik Basintale Appointed Acting CEO Of YEA

Malik Basintale has been chosen by President John Dramani Mahama to serve as the Youth Employment Agency’s (YEA) acting CEO.
The news follows Kofi Baah Agyepong’s retirement as YEA’s departing CEO, who formally steps away on January 24, 2025, citing personal obligations and goals.
Agyepong thanked President Mahama for the chance to serve for the past two years and called his service “an honor and a privilege” in his letter of resignation. “With effect from January 24, 2025, I hereby formally tender my resignation as the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA),” he said.
Malik Basintale, a vibrant figure within Ghana’s political landscape, steps into the role at a crucial time for the agency, which focuses on providing employment opportunities for the country’s youth.
He will assume his new role on Monday, January 27, 2025.
