Miss Charlotte Blabuh wins Mama Deza 2016.
The question of who wears the crown at the Mama Deza 2016 Beauty Pageant is over. Miss Charlotte Ayele Blabuh is the new Queen.
Miss Charlotte Ayele Blabuh a 23 years-old past student of Awudome senior hight school, currently studying at Deco Emporium in Accra was on Friday 30th September adjudged the winner of this year’s Mama Deza of the people of Dzodze Traditional Area.
The event which saw eight beautiful ladies contesting for the ultimate crown had the youngest among them walked away as the Queen for this year’s festival.
Despite the stormy weather which characterised the night, citizens and their visitors defied the odds to attend the event. A host of musicians and dancers ; thrilled the audiences with various performances.
Benedicta Atidepe and Martha Teresa Tetteh were adjudged first and second runner up respectively.
The excited queen said her focus would be on educating the youth on entrepreneurship and provide opportunity for them to undergo small scale business training and assistance through sponsorship in the ketu north district capital.
The pageant show which is one of the highpoints of the annual Deza festival by the people of Dzodze is aimed at celebrating womanhood and projecting the culture of the people.
Deza is a Palm Festival celebrated by the people annually on the first week of October.
