Bisa Kdei, the Ghanaian Highlife singer, has encouraged Ghanaian artists to focus on making more industry friends rather than their skills alone in order to succeed in the music industry.

In a recent tweet, the ‘Dw3′ hitmaker remarked that while skill is important in the music industry, it is also important to connect with individuals who know what they’re doing and where the greatest locations to advertise songs are.

There was no nomination for any Ghanaian act on the BET Awards candidates list this year, which has dominated the discourse on most entertainment platforms, with commentators debating how Ghana can be acknowledged on the world scene.

However, talent alone as said by Bisa Kdei cannot be enough for Ghanaians to be nominated in the BET and Grammys. We are hoping to see Ghanaian acts get nominated and win these top awards soon.
