Kumawood Stars Storm Baba Spirit’s Funeral

The burial service for comedian Francis Yaw Ofori, often known as Baba Spirit, took place today, November 19, 2022, at the National Police Training School, Tesano, in Accra. A week-long memorial service for him was held at the Accra Arts Centre on September 24, 2022.

Numerous well-known figures from the entertainment world and admirers of Baba Spirit from his time on earth have flocked to the location to pay their respects and express their condolences to the family that has lost a loved one.

Several well-known figures were spotted at the burial, including Big Akwes, Quappiah, and outstanding actor Dr. Likee, nicknamed Akabenezzer, and his crew.

He passed away not long after claiming to have survived a spiritual attack in an interview with Bryt TV. At first, the deceased's funeral was intended to be held in his northern hometown. However, a protest launched by his peers in the entertainment sector resulted in the ruling being overturned.

Baba Spirit was one of the comedians who brought laughter into Ghanaian households up until his passing.

He is well known for his highly publicized exhibition boxing match in 2018 against seasoned boxer Ayittey Powers, which took place in Accra's Bukom Boxing Arena and was broadcast live on television.
