“Politicians Don’t Care About Your Protests, Just Kidnap Their Kids” – Singer Amaarae

Amaarae, popular Ghanaian-American singer, songwriter, artist, and engineer, has weighed in on the ongoing #fixthecountry movement, which was launched on social media a few days ago by famous influencer KalyJay.

According to Amaarae, the online demonstrations in Ghana have had little impact on lawmakers and have only proposed a more forceful approach.

According to Amaarae's submission, lawmakers don't care for people' cries but can respond quickly if one of their children is abducted.

Sharing her view on twitter, the sing wrote; “Politicians don't gaf about your internet protests. Kidnap one of they kids or sth.”

Meanwhile, Mzbel has agreed with Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah, the PRO of Ghana National Gas Company, that not every famous person on social media needs to be labeled a star.

Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, real name Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, a notorious songstress, bemoaned how the label of fame has been lowered to the lowest pedigree in recent times.

“If anyone should be called a celebrity, they must have earned the title, but right now, the moment someone becomes famous on social media, we start calling that person a celebrity,” she said during an interview on Kastle FM in Cape Coast.

“Not every famous person is entitled to be labeled a celebrity, but that's how they're doing it here.”

She recalled her early days in the music industry, emphasizing that before the rise of social media, it took a lot of hard work to be recognized as a star.
