I didn’t want to go back to Fadama broke again – Kuami Eugene on buying lands with ‘Angela’ money

Singer Kuami Eugene has revealed why he decided to invest his early music earnings into land instead of luxury items, saying he feared his success in music could end at any moment.
Speaking with Headless Youtuber, the musician recalled the thoughts that crossed his mind after the massive success of his hit song “Angela.”
“I asked myself, ‘What if I don’t get another Angela?’” he said.
According to Kuami Eugene, that fear motivated him to focus on long-term investments rather than spending money on expensive fashion and jewellery.
“Every time I gathered like 40 or 50 thousand cedis, I bought land,” he revealed.
The singer explained that he wanted to secure his future in case his music career slowed down unexpectedly.
“I didn’t want to go back to Fadama,” Kuami Eugene said.
He further disclosed that one of the first lands he purchased was located near his mother’s property and cost around GH¢40,000 at the time. According to him, the area has now seen major development, causing the value of the land to increase significantly.
Kuami Eugene added that his difficult upbringing changed how he sees money and success.
“Some people are filthy rich, some are regular rich, and some don’t have anything at all,” he said.
