“I Don’t Make Music For Awards” – King Promise

King Promise, the reigning Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year, has stated that pursuing recognition would never affect his creative process, maintaining that authenticity is still at the core of his songs.
The award-winning singer stated in an interview with Nigerian musician Mr. Eazi on 3Lounge on 3FM that outside influences won’t affect the type of music he creates. I don’t write songs for accolades. “I appreciate the honors, but I won’t be forced to write music,” he said.
The announcement is made even though the “Terminator” hitmaker won Ghana’s top music honors. King Promise clarified that his small representation in all award categories during the year under consideration is due to his comparatively few releases.
