Founder and leader of Heaven Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, has praised President John Dramani Mahama and his administration, describing the government as one that is delivering positive results for Ghanaians.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio, the outspoken preacher commended the Mahama administration for reducing the number of ministers compared to the previous government, saying the move demonstrates a commitment to cutting government expenditure.
Kumchacha, a known supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), reiterated that he voted for President Mahama in the 2024 general election and remains confident in the direction of the current administration.
“I voted for the NDC. I like everything about John Mahama. I like the way he walks, his humility, the way he talks. Everything about him is nice,” he said.
The preacher also revealed that he mobilised about 70 pastors from across the country to attend a meeting after they were invited by President Mahama during the election period.
According to Kumchacha, Ghana’s economic indicators have shown signs of improvement since the NDC assumed office in January 2025.
“John Mahama’s government is working. They are trying their best. It is better than the Old Testament government. Because now inflation is down, treasury bills are down, fuel prices are down too. A lot of things have changed. So John Mahama is working,” he stated.
His remarks add to the growing public debate over the performance of the current administration, with supporters highlighting recent economic trends while critics continue to assess the government’s policies and delivery.
