“I’m Not Chasing 1,000 Goals, If It Happens, Perfect” – Siuu Ronaldo Says
Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al Nassr, says he isn’t very focused on reaching 1,000 goals in his career, even though he came very close to doing so on Friday night in the Saudi Pro League with a brace against Al Hilal.
With his double against local rivals Al Hilal, Cristiano increased his career goal total to 931, only 69 goals short of 1000.
Despite popular belief that Ronaldo wants to score 1,000 goals before he quits, the Portuguese said:
“Let’s savor the moment, guys. I’m not trying to reach 1,000. Perfect if it does. If it does not occur, it does not occur. The most unique thing is the now, not what you know will happen later.
It was a fantastic victory, not because I scored, of course, so enjoyed the moment.

“I’m happy to score two goals against Al-Hilal,, but the most important thing is to win the derby. We play against a fantastic team away; it’s always difficult. We have to appreciate it, it, and we have to continue because there are nine games left with one more in the Champions League. Everything is possible; we must continue believing,” he added.
