“It Took Me A Year And A Half To Plan What I Wore To The AMVCA 2025” – Nana Akua Addo

Actress and fashion queen Nana Akua Addo of Ghana has disclosed the amount of time it took to create her most talked-about outfit for the 2025 African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA), which recently finished.
Nana Akua Addo said that it took a year and a half to put together her outfit in a video posted on Instagram on May 16, 2025.
“My Nigerian and Indian designer created this ensemble.
We spent a year and a half organizing it. Since fashion was interwoven with technology, it took a lot of mental processes for me to be able to perform what I do.”
“We wanted to find out how it was going to work. We practiced it several times, and it wasn’t working, but finally, it did,” she said.
She also expressed joy at finally bringing to life an outfit she had dreamed of for a long time.
“This is a laser card, and I am so happy we finally got to use the laser card to do this dress. It was imported from India,” she added.
