Actor and musician, Lilwin has openly criticized the organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Award, TGMA (formerly known as the VGMA).
During a recent interview on Lawson FM with Papadat, he articulated his grievances regarding the organization’s practices. When asked about his absence from the TGMA’s recognition list, the actor remarked that his body lacks seriousness.
Lilwin emphasized that he has produced numerous hit songs; in fact, sometimes he achieves more than one hit within a single year.
However, he remains unacknowledged by this organization.
He asserts that contrary to the adage “who the cap fits must wear it,” the TGMA organizers tend to award individuals they know, thus overlooking those who work diligently in their craft.
Moreover, the actor and producer indicated that he is not particularly troubled by his lack of recognition from the TGMA.
According to Lilwin, receiving awards devoid of monetary rewards holds little value.
This being said, as long as he continues to earn money without the TGMA’s endorsement, he feels quite content.
