“I Don’t Write Songs For People Anymore” – King Promise Reveals (Video)
Gregory Bortey Newman, otherwise known as King Promise in the entertainment industry, has announced that he will no longer compose songs for his peers.
The ‘Selfish' hitmaker is credited with composing various hits for Ghanaian artists, including Adina and a few others.
However, King Promise revealed in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz that he has opted to focus on his upcoming album and has put a halt to composing songs for others.
“I don't write for people anymore. I haven't written about anybody in a long time. On that one, I got a shiver. He said, “I just want to concentrate on my upcoming album.”
The last time King Promise wrote for an artist was before the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, he revealed.
“First and foremost, I must like or be a fan of your music before I can go to the studio to work with you,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Kofi Kinaata, the popular Ghanaian musician, says his passion for football inspired him to create two football teams to assist young players in Takoradi.
In an interview with JoyNews' Becky, the ‘Susuka' hitmaker revealed that he owns Move FC, a colts club, and Effiekuma Move FC, a third division club, both of which are located in Sekondi-Takoradi.
“We have a team that will compete in the juvenile division. We have divisions for under 13, 15, and seventh. It all started with my passion for football and my football history.
