“I Made My First $1M When I Was In The University” – Kennedy Agyapong Reveals

Kennedy Agyapong, the politician, businessman, and media magnate has shared insights on how he turned himself into a successful businessman, emphasizing that it required years of hard work and honesty.

Professor Albert Adu Boahen, the then-New Patriotic Party flagbearer, stated Agyapong enrolled in the institution at the age of 33 on purpose, aiming for a place in the administration of the then-New Patriotic Party flagbearer.

He enrolled at Fordham University in New York after running many minor companies back home and working three jobs when he moved to the United States in quest of greener pastures.

“Even when I was a student at Fordham University, I had over a million dollars in my account at Agric Bank in Ghana here, and my business (was growing),” he told the mostly student crowd. he stated.

“As you progress and rise up or my colleagues here who are into business will tell you the degree of dishonesty in this nation when you are doing business,” he said, lamenting the difficulty of finding real individuals to manage a person’s business for them amid concerns of dishonesty.

“Those I left behind collapsed my business, and I had to leave,” he continued. “I stopped the school, the third year going to the fourth year, and after twice appearing on American ‘Who is Who,’ I left, and I remember my dean, Professor Houston, calling my house and telling my wife to persuade me to return to school,” he added.

Agyapong, who was in his thirties at the time, claimed he went home and salvaged what he could of his assets before going on to establish the empire he has today.

He advised pupils to hang on to the twin principles of hard effort and honesty, saying that they were essential instruments for success in life.
