Though it is often assumed that his collaborations with luminaries such as Castro Underfire and Samini have honed him into a witty, insightful, and instructive lyricist, Kofi Kinaata insists that this is not the case.

Apart from honing his songwriting talents under the guidance of the aforementioned luminaries, the ‘CONFESSION’ singer has discovered that promoting new songs in Ghana is extremely tough and expensive, therefore he is obliged to write songs that people would readily like.

“Promotion in Ghana is really difficult; there is a lot involved, so sometimes when I’m creating a song, I make sure I write something that will be easy to market, something that DJs will want to play, and something that people would contact FM stations to request,” he explained.
