Adedamola Adefolahan, better known by his stage name DML, the Nigerian Afrobeat vocalist, has said that he was inebriated when he recorded his hit song Peru.

In an interview with Deezer, discussed what went into his song and the songwriting process. Fireboy said that his song “Peru” was written and recorded in San Francisco, California.

When asked about the making of his song Peru, Fireboy revealed that he was tipsy in the studio and wanted to attempt something in the booth, which resulted in the song “Peru.”

It was my first journey to the United States, and I was meant to go meet my empire partners and just vibe; I paid a polite call to Shizzi, who produced the song in his studio. I was a little tipsy at the studio that night, so I just walked into the booth.

He was the one who kept the beat. “Um, that's a feeling,” I said. And I was basically simply singing my narrative in 30 to 35 minutes. It's just a little guy who has discovered himself in a new environment and is prepared to try new things. “

Fireboy informed the presenter how eager his new collaborator, American singer Ed Sheeran, was to remix the song “Peru.”

When Ed Sheeran heard the song, he fell in love with it. He was ecstatic about the entire process, as well as the overall feel of the song's creation. He demanded both the lyrics and the meanings of each word.He was also finished with his own verse in 30 minutes. “
