Ivan's unstoppable performance in the history of rugby have led to numerous accolades and established his as an elite Head Coach.
The Australian NRL Coach, Ivan was the former head coach of the Wests Tigers and the New Zealand Warriors in addition to the three-time NRL Premiership-winning head coach of the Penrith Panthers, who became the first coach in NRL history to lead the Panthers to three consecutive premierships in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Cleary was a goal-kicking fullback who played club football in Australia and New Zealand. During the 1998 season, he set a new record for the most points ever scored in a season.
Additionally, Cleary, a goal-kicking fullback, started his career with Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in 1992 and 1993. He played in Reserve Grade and was a key player in Manly's 4th place finish. He played for the North Sydney Bears in 1994 and 1995, scoring 15 tries and kicking only 5 goals. He then played for the Sydney City Roosters from 1996 to 1999, becoming the top point scorer in 1998. He retired from the New Zealand Warriors in 2002 after a loss in the 2002 NRL Grand Final.
