”How Can You Ban Foreign Music” – Confused And Inconsistent Shatta Wale Attack Colleagues
The Creative Arts Agency, under the direction of Ms. Gyankromah Akufo-Addo, its director, launched the #PlayGhana campaign on Thursday to encourage the playing of native music in Ghanaian homes and public spaces. According to Ms. Akufo-Addo, playing Ghanaian music not only during this festive season but also beyond will help Ghanaian artists break through barriers and broaden their audience.
Prominent music producers Smallgod Nana Appiasei, Black Sherif, Samini, Reggie Rockstone, and D-Black attended the press conference to show support for the idea of giving Ghanaian music first priority on the radio.
However, an unfortunate tee had come from Ghana's self-acclaimed dancehall King Charles Nii Armagh Mensah, better known as SHATTA Wale, as the general public tried to misquote, as said at the campaign.
according to Shatta Wale who organized a whole nations address on same topic, Forign music cannot be played less as it's advocated for, however they should stop that campaign.
