Emilio Gomez 

is an Ecuadorian professional tennis player who competes primarily on the Association of Tennis Professional (ATP) Challenger Tour. Currently, he is the No.1 Ecuadorian tennis player who reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 90 on February 27, 2023.

Who is Emilio Gomez?

Estrada is an Ecuadorian professional tennis player born on November 28, 1991, in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Andres Gomez and Ana Gomez. His father is a former world doubles no. 1 and Grand Slam champion. He has four siblings; brothers Juan and Alejandro and sisters Rafaela and Manuela.

He was born into a family with tennis heritage, as his father won the Grand Slam while reaching a career-high No. 1 in world doubles. Gomez developed an interest in tennis at a young age under the tutelage of his father Andres.

There is not much available about his childhood and educational background. However, he is said to have attended the University of Southern California in the United States, where he further honed his skills and passion for the sport.

Both his brothers are also following in the footsteps of their father so to keep on with the family's legacy laid down by their father. His sisters, however, provide support and cheer them up from the stands during tournaments.

At the Davis Cup in 2016, Gomez defeated Adam Hornby by a score of 6–0, 6–0, 6–0, which made him the first player to win by such a shoreline at any tournament since 2011.

On 29th April 2019, Gomez reached the top 200, following his first title at the 2019 Tallahassee Tennis Challenger in Florida. Gomez played his Grand Slam main draw debut in the French Open 2020, and he lost to Lorenzo Sonego in the first round.
