Emilio Gomez Estrada is an Ecuadorian professional tennis player born on November 28, 1991, in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Andres Gomez and Ana Gomez. His father is a former world doubles no. 1 and Grand Slam champion. He has four siblings; brothers Juan and Alejandro and sisters Rafaela and Manuela.

He was born into a family with tennis heritage, as his father won the Grand Slam while reaching a career-high No. 1 in world doubles. Gomez developed an interest in tennis at a young age under the tutelage of his father Andres.
