“Sorry For Insulting You, Former President Mahama” – Lawyer Nti Begs
On behalf of all Ghanaians, comedian Lawyer Nti apologized to former President John Dramani Mahama.
The actor behind “Kejetia Vs. Makola” has apologized for the insults directed against Mahama during his time in government.
According to Lawyer Nti, President Akufo Addo, and Vice President Bawumia's “degree of trashing of the name and character” of John Dramani Mahama allowed many individuals the guts to criticize him.
He said that Mahama's personal attacks were unjust, and he apologized for all the insults.
“Sadly, the level of smearing of the name & character of @JDMahama by Nana & Bawumia gave many the audacity to insult the man. I am not saying people were not chopping Ghana money under JDM but I am talking about the personal attacks he endured. Sir, I am sorry for the insults,” Lawyer Nti tweeted.
In other tweets, he also stated that many people enter politics for personal gain rather than the benefit of the people they represent.
“Most people don't understand the veracity of what politics is doing to us. People enter politics at the tertiary level & work their way into the national political scene. 9/10 times the mindset is to go & chop Ghana money not to serve the people. Their interest lies in their pockets,” he tweeted.
President Akufo-Addo was scolded by lawyer Nti for seeking to acquire a new private plane.
Meanwhile, he has said that Ghanaian celebrities are unwilling to comment on national problems because of the way Ghanaians politicize their opinions.
On Thursday, July 1, he rushed to Instagram to defend fellow celebrities who have remained silent about the Ejura shooting, claiming that Ghanaians are too quick to judge.
“People are too ready to condemn celebrities who choose not to speak out about what is going on in the nation despite having said something about sad occurrences in other countries.”
