“I Rushed For Fame And It’s One Of My Greatest Regret” – Yaw Berk

Yaw Berk, the talented Ghanaian singer, has revealed that one of his biggest career mistakes was rushing to be famous right after MTN Hitmaker.

When asked about one of the things he wishes he had never done during an interview with Halifax Ansah Addo on Okay FM, Yaw Berk said that he should have taken his time before rushing to fame.

According to him, he should have extensively researched the industry he was going to enter and sought advice from some of the industry’s experts on how to go about things and interact with particular personalities.

He said that following the MTN Hitmaker competition, he should have taken his time and continued to get recognition with his freestyle, which he claims is more popular than his actual songs.

Yaw Berk said that he was a victim of some of the media’s disadvantages and twists and turns since he lacked the expertise to deal with the situations he experienced.

Yaw Berk and his former boss, Kaywa, had a falling out over some of his behaviors against him, which he described as “gross disrespect” to him and the record label.

Later, he was shown in a viral video pleading for forgiveness from his former boss, his mother, and others. Kaywa, on the other hand, has stated that he has truly forgiven him, but the choice to reinstate him on the label is a topic for another day.
