12 years on: People still say I will return to secular life – Evangelist Yaw Siki

Evangelist Yaw Siki has spoken about ongoing doubts surrounding his dedication to evangelism, more than a decade after he gave his life to Christ.
In an interview on Angel FM in Kumasi, he addressed public skepticism about his transformation and how people have reacted since his conversion.
He explained that even after 12 years in ministry, some individuals still question the sincerity of his decision to leave secular music behind.
He said critics have repeatedly predicted that he would return to his former lifestyle.
“It’s been 12 years since I gave my life to Christ, yet people still say I will go back to the world,” he stated.
He added that people often compare him to other musicians who transitioned into ministry and later returned to secular music, including Ofori Amponsah.
“People say I will be like Ofori Amponsah. Even on TikTok, they keep saying it,” he added.
He noted that such remarks have followed him since the early stages of his conversion.
“From the first day I said I had given my life to Christ, people have been saying I will return,” he said.
