Ghanaian socialite and musician Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia 4Reall, is set to be free today — May 22, 2025 — after serving her time in a U.S. prison.
The singer was convicted for her involvement in a high-profile romance s…cam that defrauded individuals and businesses across the U.S. between 2013 and 2019.
After pleading guilty, she was sentenced on June 28, 2024, to 1 year and 1 day at the Federal Detention Centre in Philadelphia.
She voluntarily turned herself in a month later on July 29, 2024.
Inside the courtroom, it was agreed that Hajia would self-deport upon completion of her sentence.
Her lawyers also requested the release of her passport in preparation for her return — a request granted by U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken.
According to reliable reports from Snapchat blogger SelTheBomb and FameBugs, Mona will be released within the next 24 hours.
Plans are underway for her to return to Ghana within seven days. As part of her sentence, she was ordered to forfeit $216,475 and pay $1,387,458 in restitution to the victims
