Nigerian singer-songwriter Simi has talked candidly about the fact that she doesn’t have many close friends in the entertainment business, indicating that her personality might not be suited to the demands of the limelight.
Simi said in a recent interview with media personality VJ Adams that she is rather shy and has no connections in the entertainment business; instead, her friends are her private buddies.
“My friends in the business are my guys.” She clarified, “They are not friends because they work in the industry.”
She continued by saying that although she has a strong love for music, she is not a natural fit for the social dynamics that characterize the entertainment industry.
I’m terrible at it, and I often state that I believe my personality isn’t suited to the field I’m passionate about. She remarked, “I’m only doing music because I like it, and I know how to do a lot of things, but I feel like my personalities aren’t compatible.
