Sheikh Yussif Abubakari enthroned as chief of “Nakohi Naa” in Kpatinga
Sheikh Yussif Abubakari has been enthroned as chief of “Nakohi Naa” in Kpatinga in the Gushegu District of the Northern region at his residence on 4th June 2016. This is because he is the only surviving son of the Great Nakohi Naa Abubakari II.
Naa Yussif also known as Nkohin Naa Issifu is widely known in the area for his credible and religious principles. He has for the past 40 years spent his life preaching and spreading the word of God (da'wah) to the people of the area and beyond.
Later on, he inaugurated the second largest mosque in Kpatinga; the mosque is said to contain close to 500 people during Friday prayers, “This isn't just historic but a symbol of the entire village”, Sheikh said.
As a pioneer in the establishment of the mosque; he was full of excitement. According to his students, he started this long time ago by turning his living room to a holy place (Mosque).
He thanks the donors and the Sunna community for helping him realize his dream. He has also commended his followers in the village for their cooperation and support.
When asked by our reporter about his disowned son (Abu Manan) years ago during his enthronement, his response was that, “I rage war on him lately and that whatever anyone does to him is fine by him. He and his likes don't deserve to live in this world. I always pray to Allah to forgive me for bringing such a satanic son unto this earth”.
He added that the only regrets that he has in this world is ever marrying his mother. ‘ I blame the first day I got married to his mother and I always lived in each day regretting this situation'.
He, however, appealed to the MP in that area to help establish an Islamic learning center to help instill Islamic values and morals to the younger generation as it emerging more young men have lost their mind and propagating homosexuality which should not be accepted in our Ghanaian society. He urges the media also to stand up and fight this war with them.
