I Have Not Quit Music – Singer Adomaa To Her Fans

As Afro-Jazz singer Adomaa rose to prominence in 2016 with her fantastic mash-up of Stonebwoy’s Baafira, there was a lot of buzz surrounding her, with many fans hailing her as the next big thing.

In an attempt to live up to the hype, she released another mash-up about Ghanaian music, as well as EPs Afraba and Adomaa Vs Adomaa, which featured songs like Traffic Jam, April Fool, and Medaase, but the 2018 Unsung Act of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has not yet hit the heights of stardom expected of her.

In reality, she had been relatively quiet on the scene before people noticed her in the Ghanaian telenovela Dede, which airs on the newly launched Akwaaba channel on DStv, prompting speculation about whether she is leaving music for acting.

However, in a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, Adomaa claimed that although the public had not seen much of her in a while, she was still interested in the music industry.

“I know it’s been a while, but I haven’t stopped making music.” I’m still interested in music and am now working on an album that I want to release this year.

“Music and acting are also careers in the film industry, with their own set of benefits and drawbacks. However, if others have had success with the two, I am certain that I will as well. I go to the studio whenever I get the chance to focus on my album, but I haven’t put my music on hold; I’m really active,” she added.
