“I Act Girlish, But I’m Straight” – Mr. Drew

Mr Drew, renowned Ghanaian artist and dancer, has disclosed that he has been labeled “gay” on several times due to his feminine looks.

However, in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show, he refuted accusations that he was gay.

However, because homosexuality is illegal in Ghana, members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community are occasionally discriminated against.

There is a list of LGBTQ Ghanaians who have refused to publicly reveal their sexuality for fear of being judged. To others, a homosexual or lesbian is a male who acts feminine or a woman who acts like a “tomboy.”

The “Dwe” crooner said that he is “very straight” and just plays feminine for the sake of amusement.

“They think I'm feminine, and while I am, I do act feminine at times simply to be jovial. I can be quite feminine when I want to be, but I am otherwise relatively straight. He stated, “I am very straight.”

When asked if he is drawn to older women, the 3 Music Award winner replied, “Yeah, the girl from my last relationship was a little older than me.” She isn't the only older woman with whom I've gone out. I'm not sure how many older ladies I've gone out with.”

“I've had relationships with people my age as well. It's normal whether it's a year longer or shorter. The most of the time, I merely happen to be in their (older women's) companionship.

“I'm not sure why, but I find myself mingling with them at the end of the day.” Most of my pals are older than me, and it's not just ladies; it's usually boys as well.”

“I can marry an older lady but not older than my mother,” he said, “but that is not to imply I don't like younger women.” We are all sharing love because it is universal.”
