“I’m Disappointed In The VGMA Board” – Kweku Flick

Kweku Flick is upset that his popular song “Money” was not nominated for the Most Popular Song category by the VGMA board.

According to Kweku Flick, the song that drew a lot of attention from music fans and industry insiders did not make it into the top most popular songs category. For reasons best known to the Academy board of the Award scheme, he says.

Kweku flick voiced his dissatisfaction with the situation in a zoom interview with MzGee on TV3 New Day's entertainment section. He went on to say that his music deserved to be in the category.

“Money was meant to be in that category of most popular song,” he explained. But I have no idea what happened. I'm hoping for the other two nominations as well. To demonstrate to everyone that we are doing wonderful music and acting responsibly.

The Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year competition is fierce and exciting. With a victory or nomination, a musician may brag about his musical talents in the music scene. Unfortunately, for the hip hop musician, this would just be a fantasy.

Kweku Flick, on the other hand, received two further nominations in the categories of Best Hip-hop Song of the Year and New Artiste of the Year. Despite not being nominated for the ‘Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year,' he is certain of winning both.

“I was extremely surprised,” he added. I was disappointed, but everything happened for a purpose, in my opinion. However, I continue to win the other two categories.”
The performer further stated that appearing at the Award show will favorably affect and mold his career. He refers to it as a blessing.”

“First and foremost, I will say that is a blessing, just like the experience concert and now this,” he added. I'll also remark that receiving two nominations as a young artist is a blessing. It has also inspired me to work harder. I'm really grateful.”
