Shatta Wale, who has one of Ghana's largest fan bases, was hailed as a hero the instant he came to the police station after being detained for conducting a publicity stunt that caused dread and terror.

Following a fabricated gunshot incident that went viral on social media, Shatta Wale brought himself up at the police station. For spreading fake news on social media, he was detained alongside his publicist, Nana Dope, and another member of his crew, Gangee.

A video has surfaced on social media that shows the dancehall superstar being greeted by some of the inmates he met at the police station following his detention.
