“The New Artistes Are Doing Well, But They Should Be Vigilant” – Stonebwoy
Stonebwoy born Livingston Etse Satelkla, the dancehall singer, has offered words of encouragement and caution to the current generation of musicians entering the profession.
Stonebwoy, who is happy with the emerging artists that are making waves right now, praised them for their hard work and dedication to raising the Ghanaian flag higher.
In an interview with GhOne TV, the Bhim President noted that he is happy with the young breed of musicians for their efforts in raising the Ghana flag higher.
Stonebwoy, who was once a new or rising artiste and understands what it takes to be a new artiste, cautioned budding artists to remain watchful in order to avoid getting taken for a ride in the business.
“They're doing phenomenally well because this is a business that relies on, and aspires for, development, and without growth, there is no industry.” Once upon a time, when I was new, they may have had the undergrounds, but we know they're very young, and we've been here for a while, so it's fine if new crops emerge, and I'm quite pleased of what they're doing and how they're doing, he explained.
Stonebwoy also advised emerging artists to be cautious so that they are not taken for granted in the music industry.
