Sarkodie had already announced the return of his highly awaited yearly event, Rapperholic, in an unusually innovative manner. In a 1-minute and 44-second freestyle video released on December 25, 2021, the Tema-based rapper announced his 2021 Rapperholic Concert.

Sarkodie's first Rapperholic performance was on a motorcycle in Tema, and the BET Award-winning rapper has since held 9 Rapperholic concerts in a row.

Organizers have unveiled the event's ticket pricing, which has caused a heated debate on social media. Organizers said ticket prices will start at GHc150, GHc250, and GHc400.
