Israel Mobolaji Odunayo Oluwafemi Temitayo Owolabi Adesanya is a New Zealand professional mixed martial artist, kickboxer and former boxer with numerous championship in all three disciplines. He was born 22 July 1989 in Lagos, Nigeria. Adesanya attended Chrisland School, Opebi and joined the Taekwondo after school until was withdrawn by his mother due to injury. He relocated to Ghana with his family for ten months. However, his parents wanted him and the siblings to receive a well-recognized higher education. Adesanya settled in Rotorua , New Zealand at age 10 and was enrolled at Rotorua Boys' High School.
