If The Police Arrest Me Today, I’ll Still Join And Protest Tomorrow – Efia Odo
Popular Ghanaian socialite Andrea Owusu, well known by her stage name Efia Odo, claimed that she and other celebrities joined the #OccupyJulorBiHouse protest because they wanted the best for Ghana.
The #OccupyJulorbiHouse demonstration was organised by the Democracy Hub as a response to the high cost of living, the inability of the government to address economic problems, the lack of adequate road infrastructure (#FixTheMotorWay), illicit mining, corruption, and greed.
On Friday, September 22, 2023, many musicians joined the Day 2 protest, including Kelvyn Boy, Kofi Mole, EL, John Dumelo, and Efia Odo.
We're doing this for Ghana's benefit, Efia Odo stated in an interview with Citi TV. A shift is necessary.
Efia Odo was asked what she would do if arrested, to which she replied, “If I get arrested today, I will be released and return tomorrow.”
