Antonio Nusa is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays for Belgian Pro League club Club Brugge and the Norway national team. Born in Norway, he is of Nigerian descent through his father and Norwegian descent through his mother.
Antonio Nusa, a versatile striker, began his career in Langhus IL and moved to Stabaek’s youth section at 13. He made his Eliteserien debut in May 2021 and scored his first goal in June 2021 against Bodø/Glimt.
In summer 2021, he signed a contract with Club Brugge and scored his first goal in his Champions League debut in September 2022.
Nusa is known for his excellent dribbling, rapid acceleration, agility, quick feet, and inventiveness. He is a potent offensive threat on counterattacks and is a versatile player due to his vision and calmness.
The Norwegian winger Nusa, who had already played 11 games in the top division of Norway and scored three goals, moved from Stabaek to FCB in 2021. During the 2022 Champions’ Play-Offs, he had a major influence thanks to his first senior team goal. Due to Nusa’s impressive goals and assists in 2022–2023, his contract was recently extended till 2027.
Head coach Ståle Solbakken called Nusa up to the senior national squad of Norway in August 2023 for a friendly against Jordan and a UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying match against Georgia. In his maiden game for Norway against Jordan, he scored his first goal on the international scene.
