Josh Brolin is a well-known American actor who has appeared in several adventure and top-rated movies. As of 2024, his net worth is estimated to be around $45 million. Brolin started his acting career by doing TV movies and small roles before landing a more significant part as Brandon Walsh in the Richard Donner-directed film The Goonies. He was also in the running for the role of Tom Hanson in the television series 21 Jump Street and made a cameo appearance in one of its episodes.

Actor Josh Brolin performed on stage for several years in Rochester, New York, frequently with friend and mentor Anthony Zerbe. He also worked on two additional TV shows that were canceled after a few episodes: Winnetka Road (1994) and Mister Sterling (2003).

When Brolin secured the lead role in the Coen brothers’ Academy Award-winning film No Country for Old Men (2007), he was trading equities full-time by 2006. He starred in W., an Oliver Stone biography about significant moments in President George W. Bush’s life, released in 2008. Brolin was nominated for an Oscar as Best Supporting Actor for his part as city supervisor Dan White in Gus Van Sant’s film Milk, following the assassinations of San Francisco Supervisor Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone.

In addition to being nominated for an Oscar, Brolin has been nominated for a SAG Award for Outstanding portrayal by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role and the NYFCC and NBR Awards for Best Supporting Actor. In 2008, he was the Saturday Night Live presenter on the same night that Adele made a musical appearance.
