Josh Brolin began his career in TV movies and cameo appearances before securing a more prominent role as Brandon Walsh in The Goonies. Brolin performed on stage for several years in Rochester, New York, frequently with friend and mentor Anthony Zerbe.

When he secured the lead role in the Coen brothers' Academy Award-winning film No Country for Old Men (2007), he was trading equities full-time by 2006.
