“We just throw around the “Honorable” Title …” Sarkodie jams Parliamentarians

A tweet from Sarkcess Music boss, rapper Sarkodie indicates that he is not happy about the drama, chaotic and reprehensible scenes from Ghana’s Parliament last night. The multiple award winning rapper seems very disappointed.

“We just throw around the “Honorable” Title …” he wrote on his various social media handles on Thursday morning.

The night was long for Ghanaian politicians most especially as the chaotic and reprehensible scenes from Parliament was shocking to many. Among the drama was a funny photo of the MP-elect for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful comfortably sitting on the laps of Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the MP-elect for Juaboso.

Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, the Member of Parliament-elect for Tema West also snatching some ballot papers during counting. But the member of parliament was chased by Asawase MP-elect Muntaka Mohammed who accosted him and retrieved the ballot papers.

Prior to the snatching of the ballot papers, the NDC members were singing and jubilating that their Speaker-nominee Alban Bagbin had won the secret ballots.

Armed military personnel stormed the Chamber of Parliament amidst chaos over secret voting as some MPs exchanged blows. Many Ghanaian social media users have condemned these actions by the parliamentarians and rapper Sarkodie has added his voice to this condemnation.
